The UCLA Journal of Law and Technology is proud to publish a reprinting of THE DIGITALIST PAPERS. Inspired by the Federalist Papers, THE DIGITALIST PAPERS series bridges domains and disciplines by assembling experts from multiple fields—including economics, law, technology, management, and political science—alongside industry and civil society leaders. The Journal thanks Professor Eugene Volokh for proposing the idea to republish these papers in a law journal format and for his help in bringing the project to publication.
